Wide-Hands Pushup is a challenging upper-body workout that targets the muscles in your chest, shoulders, and upper arms. It can also help build your core strength, and it may help protect your back, too.

Instructions

  1. Get into a standard push-up position with your arms and legs hip-width apart. The elbows should be fully locked, and the body should form a straight line from head to toe.
  2. Squeeze your core and slowly lower your chest to the floor, stopping for two seconds directly above the floor. Engage your chest and triceps to return to the starting position.

Tips

  • Don't let your elbows flare; keep them close to your sides throughout the exercise.
  • Keep your core tight and your back straight throughout the movement.
