Exercise Description
Thoracic Rotation helps you open up the chest, improving breathing and reducing tightness and pain in surrounding joints. This exercise is usually performed in the quadruped position (on your hands and knees).
Exercise Instructions

Step 1
Get on your hands and knees and put one hand behind your head. -
Step 2
Rotate your upper body to the side with your arm raised, rotating your chest in that direction before returning to the starting position.

Thoracic Rotation targets Abs, Back, Delts, Pecs, Shoulders, Upper Back as seen below.
Exercise Tips
- Do not let your shoulders drop forward during the exercise. Pull your shoulders back and keep your chest up all the time.
- Don't allow your lower back to arch as you move. Keep your core tight and prepare your abs to avoid injury.
