Instructions

  1. Stand next to an exercise bench. Put one foot on the bench. Stand up straight and drop your shoulders.
  2. Slightly bend your standing leg and bend at the waist. As soon as you feel a stretch behind your raised hip, stop and hold this position for the recommended time.

Tips

  • This exercise is designed to stretch the hamstrings, not necessarily the lower back. Keep your chest straight and your back straight throughout the exercise.
