Instructions

  1. Lying on a bench, hold the inside bar of a dumbbell with both hands, arms fully extended and triceps contracted.
  2. Bend your elbows to lower the dumbbell behind your head, then roll your shoulders back, so your elbows are close to your head. Pause, then return to the starting position, tensing your triceps and lats.

Tips

  • You should feel a stretch in your triceps and lats.
  • Move slowly and in a controlled manner to avoid using momentum to complete the exercise.
  • Keep your back straight against the bench.
