Dumbbell Chest Press

An upper-body strength exercise performed lying back with dumbbells, targeting the chest, triceps, and shoulders to build pressing power, stability, and muscle development.

Instructions

  1. Set the bench at a 90° incline and sit with your feet flat on the floor and your back on the bench. Raise the dumbbells to chest height with palms facing forward.
  2. Exhale and lift the dumbbells up until your arms are fully extended, using your chest muscles to accelerate the movement. Don't let the dumbbells touch each other.

Tips

  • Keep tension in your chest as you lift the weight up.
  • Don't let your elbows open during the press. Keep them close to your body.
