Instructions

  1. Take the barbell with an overhand grip, arms slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart; the bar is below your chin but above your chest, palms facing the ceiling.
  2. Press the bar over your head until your elbows are fully locked before slowly returning to the starting position.

Tips

  • Avoid overstretching your lower back. Keep your core tight throughout the exercise to avoid injury.
  • Be sure to press directly above your head and not in front of your body.
