Exercise Description
Overhead Barbell Press is one of the best movements for obtaining upper body strength as a whole – specifically targeting triceps and shoulders.
Exercise Instructions

Step 1
Take the barbell with an overhand grip, arms slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart; the bar is below your chin but above your chest, palms facing the ceiling. -
Step 2
Press the bar over your head until your elbows are fully locked before slowly returning to the starting position.

Exercise Tips
- Avoid overstretching your lower back. Keep your core tight throughout the exercise to avoid injury.
- Be sure to press directly above your head and not in front of your body.
