Lying Straight Leg Raise

Lying Straight Leg Raise strengthens the muscles of the upper thigh, and the quadriceps, without placing any stress on the knee joint.

Instructions

  1. Lie on the floor with your back and your legs straight.
  2. Raise one leg as high as possible, and be sure to keep it straight throughout. Then return it to the floor in a controlled manner.

Tips

  • Keep your leg as straight as possible as you move.
  • Avoid using momentum to lift your leg. Perform each repetition slowly and under control.
  • Keep your legs bent.
