Exercise Description
Close-Grip Lat Pulldown, also known as the close hammer grip lat pulldown, is a great exercise to strengthen your back. This compound exercise also helps to improve your arm strength and posture.
Exercise Instructions

Step 1
Sit on a bench facing an adjustable rope machine with a straight bar in the up position. Extend your arms fully upwards to grab the bar with your palms three to five inches apart and both palms facing your body. -
Step 2
Keeping your shoulders down and back, slightly arch your back and pull the bar down until it touches your chest. Pause and then slowly return the bar to the starting position.

Exercise Tip
- Avoid rounding your upper back. Sit up straight with your chest up and your shoulders back.
