V-Up

V-Up is an effective core exercise that targets your abdominal muscles as well as your glutes and hip flexors. By activating your rectus abdominis, V-ups allow you to build core strength.

Instructions

  1. Lie down on the floor with your legs straight and feet together. Raise both hands above your head and place them next to your ears.
  2. Lift your legs and torso off the floor at the same time. Stretch your arms forward and reach your ankles, balancing on your hips. Reverse the movement and return back to the starting position.

Tips

  • Avoid rounding your back. Instead, keep your chest elevated and rotate evenly throughout the movement.
