Staggered-Stance Good Morning is a lower-body strengthening exercise that primarily targets your lower back, glutes, and hamstrings and provides flexibility and balance.

Instructions

  1. Standing in a staggered stance, place the barbell across your upper back, resting it on your shoulders. This is your starting position.
  2. Lean forward at your hips and lower your torso until you feel a stretch in front of your hamstrings. Hold a bow in your lower back. Pause, return to starting position.

Tips

  • Keep your lower back slightly arched for safety.
  • Don't round your back to bend over. The movement should occur at the hips.
