Sleeper Stretch

Sleeper Stretch is a good shoulder exercise that targets the infraspinatus and the teres minor muscles found in the rotator cuff. These muscles provide stability to your shoulders.

Instructions

  1. Lie on the floor on one side with your head resting on a foam roller for support. Bend your forearm 90 degrees, so it's perpendicular to your torso.
  2. Keeping your shoulder blades down and back, press your right hand into the floor with your left hand until you feel a stretch in the back of your shoulder. Hold and go back to start.

Tips

  • Don't let your shoulder roll forward. Lock it in place and then stretch it out.
