Instructions

  1. Stand on the floor with your feet shoulder-width apart, hold a pair of dumbbells at your sides, palms facing each other. Slightly bending your elbows, raise your arms 45 degrees to the sides. Stop when your arms are parallel to the floor.
  2. Keeping your arms in the same position, pull your shoulders towards your ears. Hold the position, then slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position.

Tips

  • Try not to bend your back while moving. Instead, keep your chest up and stay upright throughout the exercise.
  • Don't lift weights too high. Stop when your arm is parallel to the floor.
