Exercise Description
Squat Jacks is a great exercise to add to your lower body routine as it helps you build strength and speed and improves your aerobic fitness. This exercise activates and strengthens your lower body, and by engaging your core, it also improves your stability and posture.
Exercise Instructions

Step 1
Standing with your feet together and hands clasped behind your head, drive your hips back into a semi-squat position. -
Step 2
Then, jump your feet out to the sides while maintaining a squat position. Quickly return your legs to the starting position.

Squat Jacks targets Calves, Glutes, Hamstrings, Quads as seen below.
Exercise Tips
- Avoid rounding your lower back.
- Do not get up from a squatting position. Stay low throughout the exercise.
