Side Plank With Feet On Bench

Side Plank with Feet on Bench is a variation of standard side plank that strengthen the core and targets obliques with great emphasis. Performing side planks with feet on the bench also increases resistance on the triceps and shoulders.

Instructions

  1. Lie on the floor, place one elbow under you, and place your feet on the bench so that your body is facing to one side.
  2. Raise your hips off the floor so that your body forms a straight line from your ankles to your shoulders. Brace your core and hold this position.

Tips

  • Don't let your hips drop. Keep a straight line from head to toe.
  • Tighten your glutes and abs to keep your body stable.
  • Don't let your shoulders roll forward. Keep your chest up and your shoulders back.
