Instructions

  1. Start the exercise by holding in a standard push-up position with your arms slightly wider than shoulder-width apart and your elbows fully locked. Raise your hips toward the ceiling and plant your toes on the floor so that your body looks like an inverted "V."
  2. Slowly lower the top of your head towards the floor when your head is about to touch the floor, pause and then return to the starting position.

Tips

  • Do not open your elbows during the exercise.
  • Keep your shoulders down and back to avoid injury.
  • Bring your toes closer to your body to create a sharper angle and make the exercise more difficult.

STRENGTH NO EQUIPMENT

General pushups are a fast and effective exercise for building upper body strength. They work the triceps, shoulders, and pectoral muscles. When done properly, they can also strengthen the lower back and core by engaging the abdominal muscles.
