BEGINNER

Band Internal Rotation

Band Internal Rotation targets the subscapularis muscle, which is a very important muscle of the rotator cuff. The rotator cuff muscles help to provide stability for the shoulder joint. This exercise can also serve as a great warm-up exercise.

Instructions

  1. Attach a resistance band to a stationary object, then stand on one side facing the object.
  2. Hold the band with the hand that is closest to the band, keeping the elbow bent at 90 degrees and close to the body, keeping the resistance band stretched.
  3. Move your hand inside your body to the opposite elbow, holding your working elbow still. When you can't move on, take a break and return to the starting position.

Tips

  • Do not add extra and unnecessary tension. The goal is to improve your range of motion.
