Arm Circles
Arm Circles is an amazing warm-up exercise that gets your blood moving and can help to build muscle tone in your shoulders, triceps, and biceps. It also works on your upper back muscles. If done along with other workouts that target the arm muscles, arm circles can also help reduce the buildup of fat in your arms.
Instructions
- Stand upright and turn your arms simultaneously clockwise or counterclockwise.
- Start with small circles and slowly work on larger circles.
- Continue until your shoulders begin to loosen and your blood flow increases. Repeat the process in the opposite direction.
Tips
- Ideally, you want all the movements to take place through the shoulder joint and not through the spine. Limit the movement of the spine by keeping the core slightly contracted.
- Switch between higher speeds with small circles, then slow down as the circles get bigger.
